Designers often hear “we want to be the next iPod” of whatever product category their client is targeting. Creating the next iPod has become shorthand for product innovation. But focusing on product design alone won’t achieve this. Products reflect the environment in which they are forged, and most companies today don’t have a corporate culture conducive to creating great products. Drawing on experience from Apple, frog design, and Cisco, this talk will help you understand what it takes to create a culture that fosters breakout products.
